Deeper Cravings: Befriending the Changing Body

  • Fünketown 101-7161 West Saanich Road Brentwood Bay, BC, V8M 1P7 Canada (map)

What if your body was never meant to be battled — but befriended?

In this soulful, therapist-led workshop, you’ll be invited to soften judgment, listen inward, and reconnect with the deep intelligence of your body. Through mindfulness, self-compassion, guided imagery and evidence based tools, we’ll explore how to move from numbing and avoidance into a more enlivening relationship with our body and explore how to cultivate a nourishing approach with our bites, sips, screens, and scrolling, (all the rituals that shape our daily life).

Peggy Farah, psychotherapist and founder of Deeper Cravings, will share her own story — including shifting her body battle to body embrace which led to the moment Oprah invited her on stage to speak to 10,000 people about body love  — and how the deeper spiritual work of befriending her body continues through the ups and downs of life’s changes and the aging process.  The evidence based practices she teaches are not about ‘fixing’ the body, but rather about cultivating authentic body attunement and trust. Not about control, but about connection.

This is a space to remember:

Your body is not a project — it is a place of belonging and living free within it is your birthright. It’s time to reclaim it. Leave with practical tools and embodied wisdom to walk gently, bravely, and lovingly with your body — no matter what shape it is or stage of life it is in.
